Ubiquity Chosen to Support 21CN
Ubiquity Software Corporation has been selected by BT as a supplier for the 21st Century Network (21CN) programme.
Ubiquity’s SIP Application Server (SIP A/S) and Service Creation Environment will enable a range of next generation of converged voice and multimedia services for consumers and business users to be quickly developed and deployed.
The selection of Ubiquity’s SIP Application Server (SIP A/S) and Service Creation Environment will help BT to deliver on this vision by enabling the rapid development and deployment of a range of next generation voice and multimedia services using standards such as SIP Servlets and Parlay-X on a single common capability platform across the whole of BT’s 21CN initiative.
“With Ubiquity’s SIP Application Server, BT is able to leverage a single unified service creation and delivery platform for new voice and multimedia services across all of its networks. This will allow BT’s different lines of business to implement new services quickly as well as capitalise on each others’ successful services - dramatically reducing the costs to bring new service capabilities to market,” said Ian McLaren, president and CEO of Ubiquity Software. “We are honoured to be selected as a key part of one of the most innovative next generation network transformations in the world.”
