It’s less than six months to go to the switch over of the first end-users to 21CN. To underpin end-user communications around the move to 21CN a series of clearly written factual briefs on key elements of the 21CN programme are being developed. Already published are documents looking at PSTN end-user migration; 21CN testing and trialling and the security, resilience and assurance of services critical to public safety. Additional documents covering the first stage of end -user migration in Cardiff and the surrounding area and broadband end-user migration will be published very shortly.
These industry background briefs are a mix of public statements and high-level operational information. The primary audience is the Consult21 communications working group, tasked with developing end-user communications on behalf of the industry. However if you are interested in learning more about 21CN – and perhaps an area that is unfamiliar to you – this should be your first port of call.
The documents will be reviewed and updated periodically with every effort taken to ensure they represent an up-to-date, factual overview of 21CN progress. A word of caution however – 21CN is still under development, the subject of consultation and plans may change. Whereas these documents are a reliable source of information, they are not a replacement for controlled, detailed operational 21CN plans.
The content will evolve overtime and so bookmark this website to ensure you have access to the latest 21CN background industry briefs.
